At LUFKIN PECKHAM BERGSTROM LLP
We believe in helping people and families with their legal issues in a way that is compassionate and affordable. While the legal system can be daunting and expensive for people to navigate, it doesn't need to be. We provide no-nonsense legal counsel and advocacy at a reasonable cost.
We bring over 35 years of combined experience representing families and individuals in the Portland Metropolitan area.
We provide reasonable rates and flexible payment options without sacrificing quality of service.
We keep clients informed throughout their case. We make sure clients understand how the law works and how it applies to their individual cases.
We work hard to facilitate amicable, out of court, resolutions for clients. However, when that is not possible, we are experienced litigators who thoroughly prepare for all court appearances.

This is a common question people have when looking for an attorney. It depends on the type of case and the objectives of the client. Please see the individual page for your type of case under Our Services for more specific information.
Many types of cases require the parties to mediate prior to trial. Additionally, the parties to a case may agree to attend mediation at any time, even prior to a case being filed. We have good relationships with many mediators, including retired judges, and frequently resolve our cases without the need for trial.
Generally, if a lawsuit is filed, the court will expect resolution within a year. However, it is not uncommon for a case to take longer than a year. Please see the individual page for your type of case under Our Services for more specific information.
