This is a common question people have when looking for an attorney. It depends on the type of case and the objectives of the client. Please see the individual page for your type of case under Our Services for more specific information.

Many types of cases require the parties to mediate prior to trial. Additionally, the parties to a case may agree to attend mediation at any time, even prior to a case being filed. We have good relationships with many mediators, including retired judges, and frequently resolve our cases without the need for trial.

Generally, if a lawsuit is filed, the court will expect resolution within a year. However, it is not uncommon for a case to take longer than a year. Please see the individual page for your type of case under Our Services for more specific information.
