Clay Smith was born in California and raised in the Portland area. He attended the University of Oregon where he double majored in English Literature and Philosophy. He has worked in law for a decade, focusing on discovery, research, and document archival. His love for inputting things into databases goes back to a childhood fascination with keeping statistics while watching basketball. A strong memory and committed attention to detail allow him to focus on the little things while working with client’s important data and background information.
Before coming to Lufkin Peckham, Clay also spent time in the music industry and continues to moonlight as a karaoke host on the weekends. He enjoys running, attending concerts, doing the New York Times crossword puzzle, reading about outer space, and being a human sofa for his beloved cat, Bones.
